I wondered what could be so magical in this nectar to awaken so many souls and give everyone the constant desire to celebrate life.
Growing up, I too began to live in the ranks of our plots of Nogent l’Abbesse: I learned their gestures, their techniques, their job and, without knowing it,
I gradually inherited a unique know-how.
When I was old enough to taste, I quickly understood what animated the hearts of my elders: the sweetness of the effervescence, the magic of the aromas and the wonder of the senses revealed to me as an evidence. At that moment, I in turn entered the
confidences of my terroir, my grape varieties and my wines.
Since then, out of gratitude and conviction, I have worked to perpetuate the work done by previous generations by not failing to integrate my approach; never afraid to evolve my profession and my practices to value this heritage.
Thus, with great humility, a touch of epicure and a touch of precision, the champagnes of Domaine Coutant give you my story for an unforgettable moment…

As the son and grandson of a winemaker, Champagne Olivier Coutant was my first challenge, the first stone of the project I wanted to build with my own hands.
What good is inheriting such know-how, if not to put my stamp on it? So I set out to create wines designed with respect for my environment, representative of their terroirs, to taste between good living and lovers of simple pleasures; in short, offer champagnes markers of small moments that make great moments.

But my desire to undertake and my family roots could not have stopped there.
As a form of tribute to them, I chose to revive the historic brand of my parents, Champagne Coutant-Chanoir, thanks to some carefully selected wines. Without compromise I opted for racy champagnes, with assertive characters, a selection of grapes in Premier Cru and Grand Cru and a controlled vinification to leave nothing to chance.
In their own way, each of its cuvées tells a part of my story and that of those who helped me build it.
